It is strategically located near Voi Town, about 8 kilometers off the Mombasa-Nairobi highway in Taita Taveta County. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor -Grade 12/13/14/ – Civil Engineering

REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH OF THE ABOVE POSITIONS

JOB SUMMARY

Teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervision of graduate and postgraduate students and initiating research projects/thesis in the relevant disciplines.

Ref No. TTU/AC/L/8/2024:

A Lecturer MUST have;

  • An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
  • At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Tutorial Fellow or six (6) years of research/industry experience.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) articles in refereed journals or a minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as a Tutorial Fellow or equivalent, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journals;
  • Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR – Grade 14: Ref No. TTU/AC/AP/8/2024:

An Associate Professor MUST have the following:

  • An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University;
  • At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Senior Lecturer; or six (6) years of research/industry experience or equivalent;
  • Have a minimum of six (6) articles in refereed journals or minimum cumulative score of Forty-Eight (48) equivalent publication points of which at least thirty-six (36) should be from refereed scholarly journals since appointment as Senior Lecturer;
  • Supervised at least four (4) post-graduate students to completion, including at least one doctoral student as a Senior Lecturer or equivalent;
  • Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable); and.
  • Attracted research or development funds as a Senior Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow
