This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced professional to lead impactful renewable energy campaigns across Africa. Power Shift Africa (PSA), a leading Pan-African think tank focused on energy and climate change, seeks a highly motivated Renewable Energy Campaigner to join their dynamic team.
About the Role:
In this crucial role, you will play a central part in shaping the narrative and driving the transition towards renewable energy in Africa. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Developing and implementing strategic campaigns to promote the widespread adoption of renewable energy solutions.
- Conducting research and analyzing data to identify key trends and challenges in Africa’s renewable energy landscape.
- Crafting compelling public awareness campaigns to educate and mobilize stakeholders across the continent.
- Managing projects effectively, tracking campaign impact, and ensuring achievement of strategic objectives.
- Planning and executing impactful energy-related events and conferences.
- Preparing insightful policy briefs and technical reports to inform decision-making.
- Cultivating and maintaining strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders to amplify PSA’s reach and influence.
- Representing PSA in coalition activities, advocating for policy changes that support renewable energy development.
Who We Are Looking For:
- A seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental advocacy, campaign management, or a related field.
- A strong academic background, ideally with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, policy, or a relevant discipline.
- An in-depth understanding of Africa’s energy landscape and the critical role of renewable energy in sustainable development.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing successful advocacy campaigns that drive policy change.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of audiences.
- A collaborative team player with a talent for building and nurturing strong relationships.
- Proficiency in utilizing digital tools for stakeholder engagement and campaign outreach.
