Mombasa County Public Service Board wishes to invite suitable employees to apply for
the following internally advertised positions:

  1. ACCOUNTANT [2] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (5 POSTS)
    Requirement for appointment
    ⦁ Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounts option of Finance), / Bachelor in Business
    Management (Accounting Option) recognized University or any other relevant
    equivalent qualification.
    ⦁ Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and subsidiary legislation
    ⦁ Membership of a relevant professional body preferably ICPAK.
    ⦁ Computer literacy
    ⦁ Knowledge of professional standards.
    ⦁ Communication skills
  2. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER [3] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (24 POSTS)
    Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

    Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Public Administration, Business
    Administration/Management, Community Development, Supply chain, Trade,
    economics or any other social science from a recognized Institution;

    Certificate in computer applications from a recognized Institution
  1. ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT [2] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (3 POSTS)
    Requirements for appointment
  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or any other relevant qualifications from a
    recognized institution.
  • Structural and Architectural Design
  • Computer proficiency
  1. ASSISTANT COMMUNITY HEALTH OFFICER [3] JOB GROUP ‘H’ (7 POSTS)
    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
  • Certificate in any of the following disciplines; Community Health, Psychology,
    Counseling, Social Work or Community Development from a recognized institution;
    and
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
  1. ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT OFFICER [3] JOB GROUP ‘H’ (10
    POSTS)
    Requirements for appointment
     At least C- in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
     Diploma in Human Resource Management/Records Management or its equivalent
    from a recognized institution.
     Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
  2. ASSISTANT FISHERIES OFFICER [3] JOB GROUP ‘H’ (2 POSTS)
    For appointment to this position a candidate must have;
     Diploma in either Fisheries Management, Natural Resource Management or equivalent
    and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
     Certificate in Computer applications skills from a recognized institution.
  1. ICT ASSISTANT [3] JOB GROUP ‘H’ (10 POSTS)
    Job Requirement
     Diploma in Information Technology/Education or its related equivalent from a
    recognized Institution.
     Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, operating systems, office productivity
    software (e.g., Microsoft office, google workspace) and internet tools
     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical
    information to participants with varying levels of computer proficiency
  2. LEGAL CLERK ASSISTANT [3] JOB GROUP ‘H’ (2 POSTS)
     A Diploma in law or having registered for a Diploma with the Kenya School of Law will be
    an added advantage.
     Qualified under Section 12 and 13 of the Advocates Act.
     Possess leadership skill, ability to work under pressure, organization skills, problem
    solving.
     Demonstrate professional competence in work performance and results
  3. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICER [2] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (5 POSTS)
    Requirements for Appointment
     Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or its equivalent and
    relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
     Have knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than three (3) years;
     Member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) in good standing is
    desirable;
     Have a valid practicing license ;
     Successful applicant to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on
    Leadership and Integrity;
     Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance results.
  1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER JOB GROUP ‘J’ (5 POSTS)
    For appointment to this position a candidate must have:
     Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent qualification
     from a recognized institution;
     Registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate
     Engineer; and
     A certificate in computer application skills.
  2. CLERICAL OFFICER [2] JOB GROUP ‘F’ (50 POSTS)
    For appointment to this grade,
    A candidate must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C-
    (Minus) or its approved equivalent.
  3. ECONOMIST [2] JOB GROUP ‘K’ (5 POSTS)
    Requirement for this position:
     Degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance or related field from a recognized
    Institution;
     A master degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage;
     Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than five (5) years;
     Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills;
     Knowledge in use of Monitoring and Evaluation tools;
  4. EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN JOB GROUP ‘H’ (1 POST)
    Requirements for appointment
     Diploma in any health related field
     EMT certification from a recognized Institution
     Basic life support/ advanced life support certification
     Computer application Certificate.
  1. FILM OFFICER [2] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (2 POSTS)
    Requirements for Appointments
     Be a Kenyan Citizen
     Relevant work experience of not less than five (5) years in video editing and
    photography;
     Have a diploma in any of the following fields:— Film and Theatre Arts, Film and Video
    Production, Film and Animation, Photography and Video Production, Video Editing and
    Photography Production, Performing Arts and Film Technology, or equivalent
    qualification from a recognized institution;
     Have a clear understanding of the working of the media and the socio-political
    environment in Kenya;
     Possess advanced computer application skills;
     Any other related course will be an added advantage;
  2. LAND SURVEYOR [2] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (2 POSTS)
    Requirements for appointment
     Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Surveying and
    Photogrammetry, Geomatics, Geomatic Engineering, Technology in Geomatics,
    Technology in Geoinformatics, Geo-spatial Engineering, Philosophy in Technology
    (Survey) or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya; and
     Registered as a member of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya.
  3. ORTHOPAEDIC TRAUMA TECHNICIAN [1] JOB GROUP ‘H’ (1 POST)
    Requirement for this position:
     KCSE Certificate
     Diploma in Orthopedic Technology from any other recognized medical training
    institution.
  1. PHARMACIST JOB GROUP ‘M’ (2 POSTS)
    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:-
     Be a Kenyan Citizen;
     Have Bachelor of pharmacy Degree (B Pharm) from an institution recognized by the
    Pharmacy and Poisons Board;
     Have successfully completed one (1) year internship from a recognized institution;
     Have Registration Certificate by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board;
     Have Certificate in Computer application Skills form a recognized institution and
     Have a valid practicing license
  2. PHYSICAL PLANNER JOB GROUP ‘K’ (2 POSTS)
    Requirements for Appointment
     Be a Kenyan Citizen;
     Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Urban and Regional Planning,
    Urban Planning or Town Planning from a recognized institution;
     Corporate member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya
    (Town Planning Chapter) is desirable;
     Must be registered by the Physical Planners Registration Board;
     Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
     Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
  3. ASSISTANT PHYSIOTHERAPIST [2] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (1 POST)
    Requirements for Appointment
     Must be a Kenyan Citizen
     KCSE Certificate
     Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution;
     Certificate of Registration from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
     Valid Practice License from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
     Two (2) years post registration experience
  1. CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST [2] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (2 POSTS)
    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;
     Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Health/Medical Psychology, Counselling Psychology,
    Medical Education, Medical Sociology from a recognized institution;
     Registration with the relevant professional regulatory bodies; and
     One-year internship practice in a health facility under supervision of a senior psychologist/
    registered mental health professional.
     Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
  2. SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER [3] JOB GROUP ‘H’ (5 POSTS)
    For appointment to this position a candidate must;
     Be a Kenyan Citizen;
     Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C or its equivalent
    qualification; and
     Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Mental
    Health, Anthropology, Counselling or equivalent qualification from a recognized
    institution
  3. TRADE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER [2] JOB GROUP ‘J’ (4 POSTS)
    Job Requirement
     Diploma in any of the following disciplines; Commerce, Marketing, Business
    Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, International
    Trade/Business//Relations or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
     Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution and
     Demonstrated merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and results
  4. SENIOR SUPPORT STAFF JOB GROUP ‘D’ (50 POSTS)
    Job Requirement
     Be a Kenyan citizen;
     Holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, or KCE Division IV, or Kenya
    Certificate of Primary Education plus 2 year’s relevant experience;
     At least three (3) months’ experience in a related field;
     Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
