JOB TITLE: Short-Term Contract Vacancies at KWS Law Enforcement Academy
Location: Manyani
Job Type: Short-Term Contract (6 months)
1. Registered Clinical Officer – Three (3) Posts, Job Grade “12”
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Registered Chief Clinical Officer, the Registered Clinical Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective provision of clinical services to staff and trainees at the Academy.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend to patients promptly and professionally.
Diagnose and treat patients’ ailments in the clinic.
Plan and execute primary health care activities.
Refer patients for further medical attention when necessary.
Provide counseling and health education to patients.
Sensitize patients and clients on preventive and promotive health measures.
Maintain accurate clinical records.
Requirements:
Minimum KCSE – C+ (Plus) or its equivalent.
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
Registration Certificate from the Clinical Officers’ Council.
Valid Professional Practice License from the Clinical Officers’ Council.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
2. Senior Nursing Assistant- Four (4) Posts, Job Grade “12”
About Us:
KWS LEA is dedicated to providing top-notch training in wildlife protection and law enforcement. We are currently seeking Senior Nursing Assistants to join our team for a short-term contractual period.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Registered Chief Clinical Officer, the Senior Nursing Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the effective provision of nursing services within the Academy.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer/dispense drugs to patients.
Maintain accurate records of drugs administered.
Treat minor ailments and provide counseling to staff and patients.
Assess patients’ needs for nursing services.
Maintain records on patients’ health condition and care.
Facilitate patient admissions and discharge plans.
Ensure cleanliness and safety in the clinical environment.
Requirements:
Minimum KCSE C (Plain) or its equivalent.
Diploma in Kenya Registered Nursing (KRN) or Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized institution.
Registration by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Valid practicing license.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
3. Assistant Laboratory Technologist – Two (2) Posts, Job Grade “13”
About Us:
KWS LEA is seeking Assistant Laboratory Technologists to contribute to our mission of providing quality training in wildlife protection and law enforcement.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Registered Chief Clinical Officer, the Assistant Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests according to standard procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory tests and submit results as per applicable procedures.
Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware, surfaces, and equipment.
Collect, receive, record, package, dispatch, and preserve test samples.
Prepare and standardize laboratory reagents and procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum KCSE C (Plain) or its equivalent.
Diploma in Laboratory Science, Laboratory Technology, or equivalent qualification.
Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board.
Valid practicing license.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
4. Cook – Forty Five (45) Posts, Job Grade “15”
About Us:
KWS LEA is committed to providing a conducive learning environment for our trainees. We are currently seeking experienced Cooks to join our catering unit.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Officer In-charge of the catering unit, the Cook will be responsible for preparing food and beverages for trainees at the Academy.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of food according to standard practices and procedures.
Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.
Identify and report defects on kitchen equipment and food supplies.
Set up and prepare equipment for food preparation.
Requirements:
Minimum KCSE D+ (Plus) or its equivalent.
Certificate in Food Production from a Recognized Institution.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in food production and cooking.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
5. Waiter/Waitress – Five (5) Posts, Job Grade “15”
About Us: KWS LEA is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our trainees. We are seeking Waiters/Waitresses to join our catering team.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Officer In-charge of the catering unit, the Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for serving food and beverages to trainees and maintaining cleanliness in the serving areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Refill food and beverage as requested by patrons.
Explain menu offerings to clients.
Clean and maintain cleanliness in the service area.
Take customer orders and requests.
Carry out table set-up and food and beverage service.
Requirements:
Certificate in Food and Beverage Production, Sales, and Service.
Knowledge of food and customer service methods and techniques.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
6. Kitchen Attendant – Ten (10) Posts, Job Grade “16”
About Us: KWS LEA is seeking Kitchen Attendants to support our catering unit in providing quality food services to our trainees.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Officer In-charge of the catering unit, the Kitchen Attendant will be responsible for various tasks in the kitchen, including food preparation and maintaining cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in food deliveries and storage.
Wash and cut raw food items.
Set up and arrange the dining place.
Clean kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Collect food items from stores.
Requirements:
KCSE D- (Minus).
Formal course of at least one (1) month in food production.
Knowledge of food cooking methods and techniques.
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
