Procurement Business Manager ESA
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
- To understand customer/business unit sourcing requirements including their business goals, targets, initiatives, directions for their appointed end market
- To build long term and strong relationships with EM key stakeholders
- Cascade and communicate Global/APMEA Procurement innovation pillar strategies to EM and feedback loop from EM to Global/APMEA Proc teams.
- To build strong multi-level business relationships with end market customers. To know who their key customer stakeholders are, and to ensure an appropriate plan and approach is in place for each area/function.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Procurement Business Manager supports Area Procurement Business Manager to partner with senior local Leadership team to drive Procurement strategy in alignment with cluster and DRBU Strategy
- Act as an interface between budget holders at cluster to level ensuring the delivery of both their service requirements and those of procurement.
- Delivers customer value by managing the relationship with the customers of procurement within the cluster to ensure their procurement needs are fulfilled and balanced with the needs of the business.
- Delivers Financial targets and strategic initiatives within EM.
- Drive global category management strategy and cascade at cluster level.
- Lead ALL sourcing activities within End Market
- Interface with Global Category Managers and Global Sourcing Managers in their respective categories.
- Lead and manage Procurement Team in EM
- Is accountable for Procurement activities at cluster EM i.e., Directs, Indirect, Logistics and Distributors
- End to End Sourcing Process at EM Markets
- Contract Management
- Spend and compliance reporting.
- Support Area Procurement Business Manager – SSA in delivering SSA strategic initiatives.
- Champion for Directs category.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
- Good Influencing skills within EM to effectively deliver on Procurement strategy.
- Planning and organizing in order to deliver on priorities.
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- Team management skills, ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver on objectives and achieve results
- Managing Diversity and Inclusion
- Sound knowledge of corporate regulations and local legislation to ensure the creation of effective commercial contracts.
- Sound knowledge of the procurement processes, platforms and policies
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant business discipline (Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement and/or Engineering)
- 3-5 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Commercial, Operations, Finance and/or account management
- Fluent in English
- Experience in End-to-End Sourcing process (incl negotiations and contracts)
- Knowledge of the procurement processes, platforms, and policies
- MCIPS /CIMA / MBA/ CA added advantage.
Strategic Account Manager
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The ESA SC is currently undergoing significant organisational change, this involves creating an integrated supply chain function, encompassing the Local supply chain, the supply network & the customer facing teams. The change will move away from a ‘silo’ functional supply chain and will drive and deliver a more robust, culturally aware customer focused service offering.
A major consequence of moving to above market Supply Chain is to deliver customer service on a more equitable level through the customer facing team’s process. The success of this engagement at different levels to provide a single point of contact and accountability for the service provided to a particular area/ zone regardless of source of supply.
Whilst going through the organisational changes ESA SC needs to ripe the benefits of providing Commercial teams with a single point of contact/accountability for service independent of factories, without losing the benefits of established natural teams which exists in Domestic Markets with Strategic Factories within proximity.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Collaboration with SNO & local Supply of On time delivery and supply of FG to achieve volume and profit targets for their respective EM’s.
- Delivery of overall Service effectiveness
- Performance deliverables for your respective EM’s
- Conformance to SLA
- On Time in Full (OTIF Received/Available to Clear) & FFR
- Conformance to MTS/ MTO
- FG working Capital targets (Durations and Cost),
- Contribute to the optimised ESA SC business objectives and performance by supporting the integrated SC functions.
- Collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain Manager to translate the EM’s Commercial plans for growth and productivity into operational action plans.
- Provide strategic input and insight to optimise our Cost to Serve within the ESA Ops Business (differentiated/segmented supply and service solutions).
- Provide operations input into EM’s annual Company Plan (e.g. Inter-company pricing and pricing rationales, working capital targets etc), continually looking at opportunities to rationalise and reduce cost for the business. Ensure the EMs in their area of responsibility are conforming/adhering to forecast/order policy.
- Provide input and insight on behalf of ESA SC into the Commercial Area Business Review to allow informed decision making/recommendation to the Area S&OP and Regional S&I.
- Continuously foster customer satisfaction through optimisation of the ESA SC performance
- Continuously foster supply chain performance improvement by defining and implementing actions to improve Customer Focused KPI results.
- Escalation and resolution of all queries within the designated EM’s, so that they can be resolved within an agreed timeframe.
- Ensure the right balance between a standardised Supply Chain approach (standard SLA’s, standard Supply Chain processes…) and a segmented Supply Chain approach (fulfilling EM’s specific needs and requirements) with a clear focus on the end-to-end Supply Chain and Customer Satisfaction
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
- Strong leadership skills, with previous experience of successfully leading teams of managers
- At least 4-6 years of experience at management level in a FMCG company, managing customer relationships and or demand management processes.
- Strategic thinking, be able to absorb complex issues and opportunities to be able to contribute to the overall strategy balancing pro’s and con’s in several environments
