Please note that this is a 3 month temporary position. We are open to remote work for this position and will happily accept applicants from Nairobi, Kenya.

Our Financial Administrator is responsible to support the operational execution of financial functions across Tiko. Other responsibilities include:

  • Payments and expenses: You support the procurement-to-pay process and record accounts payable and receivable.
  • Payroll support: You support payroll verification and payment of salaries to the respective banks.
  • Closing activities: You reconcile bank accounts and credit card ledgers. You liaise with your team to ensure that each month- end closing, the books of accounts are timely, complete, and correct.
  • Audit & Compliance: You ensure compliance with the accounting laws and Tiko regulations. You are responsible for the filing and safekeeping of local finance records.
  • Development: We expect you to actively participate in meetings and projects and to coordinate with your team members. We also expect you to continue to develop yourself and keep abreast of new developments.

You have good knowledge of accounting standards and statutory requirements. You’re a logical thinker and a natural problem solver who wants to use your skillset to make an impact.

  • You hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Financial ERP systems experience would be beneficial.
  • eTIMS knowledge is a bonus
  • Experience working with accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Audit experience would be a plus.
  • You are good with numbers and keen to details.
  • You are based in Nairobi, Kenya.
