Today we are looking for an Engineer for Electrical Systems in Building Construction

  • Technical Coordination of all Technical Services internally and with Civil works
  • Technical assessment of tender documents
  • Commercial/financial evaluation of project tender documents for estimation
  • Obtaining and techno-commercial assessment/evaluation of quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Preparation of sub-contract documents for any technical building service
  • Definition of interfaces between all technical services and civil works
  • Elaboration of time schedules for all technical services and coordination with civil works
  • Technical coordination and supervision of sub-contractors during construction
  • Progress and cost control of sub-contractors during construction
  • Quality control of execution works on site
  • Sound knowledge of FIDIC – contracts
  • Technical/contractual correspondence with Client/Consultant and Sub-contractors
  • Support in Business Development and to establish STRABAG’s worldwide expertise in Kenya.
  • Diploma from Technical University/College
  • Min. 8 Years Experience on Project Sites as Site Technician / Site Manager
  • 3 to 5 Years Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Cost Estimator for Cost Calculation of Electrical Systems
  • Established network of reliable subcontractors in Nairobi area
  • Familiar with local codes and regulations, including local Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Auto CAD, Primavera, Acrobat Reader
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced worksite environment.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili (Spoken, Written)
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read schedules and scheduling cures/reports.
  • Entrepreneurship attitude to be essential part of a Business Development
  • Willingness for continuous learning, advancement of technical knowledge and transfer of expertise from STRABAG worldwide to STRABAG Kenya
  • Willingness to support in other fields during establishment of Business
