What is the ILO?

Founded in 1919, the International Labour Organization (ILO) is the UN agency for the world of work. Rooted in a vision of social justice, the ILO sets international standards, advances rights at work and promotes decent employment opportunities for all.

Who is the ILO looking for?

The ILO seeks staff of the highest standards of professional competence, efficiency and integrity. Particular importance is given to selecting staff of diverse geographical origin, gender and age. We encourage applications from qualified women and men, including those with disabilities. Applications from qualified candidates from nationalities that are less than adequately represented are also particularly welcome.

The working languages of the ILO are English, French and Spanish.

Am I eligible?

The Office uses a range of different contracts for persons it engages for daily, temporary and ongoing employment. Recruitment procedures and eligibility differ depending on the contract type, duration and other factors.
